Aiming high at the Boots 'N Shoot event
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Calf Scramble Committee hosted the 1st annual Boots 'N Shoot, a sporting clay event, on August 22 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio.
Kicking off the function at 11 am with registration, the first flight started at 1 pm along with a five-stand committee shoot. A shooting game which was a 2 person flush, a silent auction and a 52 card game, were all among the many festivities going on throughout the day, as well. The 2nd flight started at 3:30 pm and ended around 6 pm.
Shortly after the second flight was over, everyone enjoyed a scrumptious meal catered by the RK Group and music from Cactus Country. Lots of boot scooting was done on and off the dance floor. Both the live and silent auctions were a big crowd pleaser.
After a warm, yet fun day, all competitors anxiously awaited the results. Winners of the 1st annual Boots n Shoot event were announced towards the end of the evening. Click below for results.
